- I made this red storage box for my bike.
- I thought it would be nice if you could write on it.
- So I painted a square of blackboard paint on the back, stenciled an invitation to leave a message and attached some chalk.
- If someone wants to get something off their chest on the street, they can just write it down on the bike box.
The box specifically asks you to leave a message. So what do people want to write to on a scooter to an unknown person ? Will their messages even be related to the unknown owner? What will they project onto the box?
For some reason I really want to monitor how many positive versus negative messages I find. It's a sort of social experiment where the context is wherever I may roam and the method unobtrusive.
It is also an elusive blog for the man (and woman) on the street, very literally. In a sense it's roving graffiti.
('Postie' is the nickname for a Honda C110 Trail bike - because so many postmen use them all over the world)

do you consider penises positive or negative? i see they are a recurring theme, and will probably continue to be.....
good question, and one i've debated with friends. i guess one has to read the intentions - whether it is intended to be insulting or not. but that is subjective anyway. the whole positive vs negative thing is quite arbitrary really, but interesting.
